Community Medicine: Empowering Ourselves Through Boundaries

Please join us this Saturday July 20th for a very important Community Medicine: Empowering Through Boundaries with Jana Rae Corpuz LMFT. ⠀

In my own personal healing journey learning how to set healthy boundaries has meant the difference between living in anxiety and feeling empowered.⠀

In this class we will talk about boundaries. We will learn the meaning of personal boundaries, the different types, and reflect and explore them in our own lives. Being aware of our own boundaries are important in maintaining healthy relationships. ⠀

In this class you will leave with the ability  to be able to recognize ways in which you can draw boundaries in your own life to empower and heal relationships with yourself and others. ⠀

This class will be facilitated by Jana Rae Corpuz LMFT with a guided sound meditation by Janelle Hethcoat.⠀

Jana began volunteering at a rape crisis hotline in 2009, working with survivors of sexual assault. She found that supporting survivors was such a rewarding experience, she decided that she wanted to continue to help others and grew an interest in mental health. She obtained my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology in 2014. ⠀

Jana completed my trainee-ship at the Asian Pacific Women's Center helping women and children that suffered from domestic violence. Since then, Jana has had experience working with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD,  bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in the community mental health setting. Jana is also an EMDR therapist and have received training from the Institute of Creative Mindfulness. ⠀
